Beef: Pricing & Availablity
• Our cattle are bred for meat quality and to fit our environment here in southern Colorado. These cattle are naturally raised on native grass meadows and hay. They receive no antibiotics, no hormones, and are handled humanely.
• We sell either grain fed or grass fed beef. Grain fed cattle are fattened for about 120 days prior to harvest. Grass fed cattle are harvested at the end of summer grass growing season.
• We sell USDA inspected wrapped meat ready for the freezer. Beef can be ordered in bulk by whole, half, quarter, or hamburger pack.
• Approximate Weights: Whole = 430lbs, Half = 215, Quarter = 110, Hamburger Pack = 50 lbs
• In general, there is 45% hamburger, 25% steaks (T-bone, Rib, Sirloin, Loin, Flank, Round), and 30% roasts (Chuck, Round, Brisket, Rump, Pikes Peak.)
• Meat package sizes and steak thicknesses can be customized
• It takes about 15 cubic feet of freezer space for 425lbs.
• Prices are determined at time of harvest according to the cattle market.
